According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Giannis Antetokounmpo could consider joining the Golden State Warriors in 2021 free agency.
On NBA: The Jump, Shelburne pointed out that Giannis and Steph Curry are good friends and that Giannis would have to decide what he wants his legacy to be.
“Is he the guy who stays with one team his entire career and tries to bring a championship to Milwaukee, or does he pull the Kevin Durant and go join a group of super-friends in the Bay,” said Shelburne.
The Bucks’ GM Jon Horst recently said when Giannis is eligible for a supermax extension in about a year, he will indeed be offered a supermax extension.
Giannis has shown no interest in wanting to leave Milwaukee and him wearing a Warriors jersey is pure speculation right now, but in about a year, we will find out.
