Senegal was not an easy opponent for Australia, yet the Boomers eventually got the 81-68 victory and remained unbeaten in Group H.
Patty Mills led the winners in scoring with 22 points, while Joe Ingles came one assist away from the triple-double (17 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists).
Four players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Xane Dalmeida posting a team-high 14 points.
Senegal remained competitive in the first 20 minutes and were down by just three at halftime (36-33).
Yet, Australia took over in the second half and outscored its opponents 45-35 to seal the deal. The Boomers are one step away from advancing to the next round (2-0), whereas Senegal was eliminated (0-2).
On Thursday (05/04), Australia will face Lithuania and Canada will play against Senegal.
