Following news that the Brooklyn Nets’ duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is “pushing” the front office to sign free agent forward Carmelo Anthony, Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless thinks Anthony deserves to play for the Nets:
“This isn’t a good fit, it’s a great fit. This was heaven sent. I was so happy for Carmelo when I read that both KD and Kyrie are supporting this. … Carmelo deserves this. He didn’t deserve to go out the way it looked like it was about to end,” Bayless said.
This past season, a ten-time NBA All-Star played in 10 games and mostly came off the bench to score 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
