Germany and Russia ended their preparation for the Basketball World Cup with big victories over Australia and Spain, respectively.
The Germans defeated the Australians 74-64, with Dennis Schroder scoring 15 points. Germany was in control from the opening tip (24-14, 45-29, 62-43) and cruised to an easy win.
For its part, Russia went on a 27-13 run in the third quarter, which let her take a 19-point lead and never look back (59-40). Spain never recovered after that and was defeated.
Vitaly Fridzon led the winners with 14 points, whereas Willy Hernangomez posted a game-high 26 points for the losing squad.
