Patty Mills was tremendous (30 points) and helped Australia defeat Team USA (94-98) in front of 52.000+ fans in Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

Mills scored the last 10 points of Australia in the game and led his team to a big victory ahead of the Basketball World Cup.

This also was the first defeat of Team USA (in official and exhibition matches) since 2006. Their winning record ended in 78 matches.

Andrew Bogut (16 points), Joe Ingles (15 points) and Aron Baynes (13 points) also scored in double figures for the winners.

Kemba Walker and Harrison Barnes stood out for the losing squad with 22 and 20 points, respectively.
