
Trieste picked up a home win in the sixth round of Group L in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, beating Tenerife 82-76.
Jahmi’us Ramsey led the way with 31 points, while Lodovico Deangeli added 12 as the only other Trieste player in double figures.
On the other side, Wesley Van Beck scored 15 points, Rokas Giedraitis had 14, and Patty Mills made his BCL debut with nine points in just under 15 minutes.
The game turned in the final quarter, as the visitors held a 62-55 lead entering the last 10 minutes, but Trieste closed strong with a 27-14 run to complete the comeback.
Despite the result, the standings were already decided before tip-off – Trieste had been eliminated, while Tenerife had secured a place in the quarterfinals.
The Spanish team finished first in the group at 4-2, with Trieste ending last at 2-4.
