Enes Kanter talked about his decision to sign with the Boston Celtics during the 2019 free agency.

Here is what the Turkish center said in an interview with Hoopshype:

“For me, the most important thing is being with a team that you’re really happy on and playing with a team that’s competing for a championship.

That’s was the big thing for me. For everybody else, the money matters. For me, the No. 1 thing was winning. The reason I went for was a championship.”

Kanter averaged 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds with the Portland Trail Blazers last season.
