FC Bayern Munich bolstered its frontcourt by inking experienced center Greg Monroe, who inked a one-year deal with the German powerhouse on Thursday.

Monroe (2.11 meters, 29 years old) is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Bayern after a long career in the NBA. He arrives from Philadelphia, where he averaged 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 13 NBA games, but also played for Toronto and Boston last season.

Monroe started his professional career with Detroit and also played for Milwaukee and Phoenix. Monroe has averaged 13.2 points and 8.3 rebounds in 632 NBA regular season career games and was chosen to the NBA All-rookie second team in 2011.
