Dallas Mavericks have announce the signing of Predrag Stojakovic, who was released on free by Toronto Raptors some days ago.

The Mavericks acquired Stojakovic to replace the loss of Caron Butler, their main shooter, who will be sidelined until the end current season.

The Dallas based team initially didn’t have a free roster for the Serbian forward but they managed to clear some by trading Alexis Ajinca for the NBA right of Georgios Printezis. The Greek international was picked up by Toronto Raprots in 2007 Draft and is now playing in ACB for Unicaja Malaga.

Stojakovic is likely to sit out of the next two games against Lakers and Rockets.
