Brice FantaziaThe Glasgow Rocks have completed the signing of 6’4″ Point Guard, Brice Fantazia. The American point guard is the Rocks third and final American import signing for Sterling Davis’ 2010-11 Rocks Squad.

Californian born, Fantazia, played most of his college years at Culver-Stockton College, where he averaged 13 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 58 games. He was widely known for his creativity at the offensive end, as well as his exceptional court vision and passing abilities.

Player/Coach Sterling Davis unearthed Fantazia at the recent Las Vegas Summer Camps where he was impressed by the American’s physical presence and ability. He strongly believes that Fantazia can make a real impact on the BBL stage:

“Brice is a product of my recruiting missions this summer. He is a physical and explosive guard who will be a hard matchup at his position. He is equally talented as a shooter, ball handler, and defender. He plays hard and seems to be a good team player. “

Fantazia is coming into the Rocks on some past professional basketball experience, after having a brief stint in Portugal where he played for Porto FC last season.

“Brice started his professional career in Portugal for Porto FC, which is a very good level of basketball, but decided to go back to finish school and has now come back into the professional ranks. I think he will fare very well in the BBL. “

The Rocks tip-off the new BBL Trophy season on Sunday 19th September at 5:00pm in Kelvin Hall, with a visit from BBL rivals Newcastle Eagles.

The Rocks will also be hosting a Pre-Season warm-up game against a visiting USA Select team, to be held on Saturday 11th Sept at 3:00pm in Kelvin Hall.  It will be the first official chance to see Fantazia and his new team mates in the Rocks uniform.
