Per, AEK Athens is in advanced talks with Trevor Mbakwe and the two sides are expected to reach an agreement in the next few days.

If the two sides agree on terms, the 30-year-old player will sign a contract for the remainder of the season. Mbakwe played for the German team Ludwigsburg in the beginning of the season, averaging 9.2 points and 7.2 rebounds n the BBL League as well as 5.5 points and 5.5 boards in the Basketball Champions League.

He then left Germany to join Osaka Evessa in Japan, but he is now ready to make his return to European basketball.
