The Basketball Champions League Final 8 phase in Athens is over, with AEK taking the second place after losing to Burgos in the Final. Tyrese Rice is one of the players who joined AEK just for the BCL Final 8. Despite Rice’s 17 points against Burgos, AEK didn’t manage to win the trophy and the BCL Champions title.

For that reason and according to Eurohoops, the Greek club will not renew with the player and keep him in the roster until the end of the season. Rice is also considering retirement as the player has said multiple times. It remains to be seen whether AEK will keep the player and, in case they don’t, whether Rice will retire or continue his career in another club.
