Real Madrid endured Panathinaikos come-back and edged the “Greens” at home (75-72) in Game 1 of the EuroLeague playoffs.

The “Whites” led for almost the entire game, but sealed their win in the final seconds. Although they were in front by 14 early in the third quarter (49-35), they saw the Greeks turn things around.

The visitors went on a 8-20 run and took a six-point lead in the middle of the fourth quarter (66-72). But, Real fought back and closed the game on a 9-0 run to seal the deal, as DeShaun Thomas missed the game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer.

Jeffery Taylor (13 points) and Fabien Causeur (12 points) were the best players of the winners. On the other hand, Nick Calathes led the winners with a game-high 17 points, while Thomas added 12.

Game 2 will be played in Madrid on Friday (19/04).
