The Dallas Mavericks (29-45) rookie Luka Doncic posted 28 points (9/20 FG, 0/9 3PT, 10/11 FT), grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 12 assists in the Mavericks’ 121-125 home loss over the Sacramento Kings (37-37) at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night.

Doncic tied Magic Johnson with his seventh triple-double for his first season. It’s also the third-most triple-doubles by a rookie, per ESPN.

Dwight Powell added 21 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, Maxi Kleber managed 17 points with four rebounds for the Mavs.

On the other hand, De’Aron Fox finished with 23 points (6/16 FG), five rebounds and eight assists for the Kings.

Fox contributed a key basket in the final minute and let his team to stay in front.

Ex-Mavericks Harrison Barnes added 18 points and three boards, Buddy Hield scored 17 points with five rebounds for the Kings.
