Dirk Nowitzki praised Giannis Antetokounmpo following the victory of the Milwaukee Bucks over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night (107-122).

“He wants to be great. He wants the ball, wants to make plays or himself and his team-mates. He’s a competitor,” Nowitzki said, adding that “I’ve heard he’s a work horse, always trying to get better. That shows, he’s obviously worked on his body.”

The legendary German power forward and 2011 NBA Champions with the Mavs also mentioned how hard the “Greek Freak” has worked since joining the league in 2013.

“He was super-skinny when he came in and now he’s like really strong and he’s tough to keep out of the lane. Those are all great things to have if you want to be a great player in this league,” stated Nowitzki.
