In a late thriller in Tel-Aviv, Maccabi edged Olympiacos (65-64), claiming its sixth straight win at home and maintaining a playoff push.

Vassilis Spanoulis made the three-pointer to give the “Reds” the lead (63-64), with 16 seconds to go. Yet, Scottie Wilbekin reacted and made a two-pointer, 4.4 seconds before the end of the contest (65-64).

Giorgos Printezis missed the game-winning shot at the buzzer and the Israelis earned the victory.

Although the visitors made a better start (4-10), the hosts quickly came back (24-24, 39-37). Things didn’t change much until the end (57-55, 61-56), which led to a late thriller in Israel.

Tarik Black and Wilbekin led the winners, with 19 and 17 points, respectively. On the other hand, Nigel Williams-Goss and Vassilis Spanoulis scored 16 points apiece for the losing squad.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv improved to 10-12, whereas Olympiacos dropped to 12-10.
