Fenerbahce has officially extended its partnership with veteran guard Scottie Wilbekin, signing him to a 1+1 year deal ahead of the 2024–25 campaign.

The Turkish club confirmed the agreement as part of its roster preparations for the upcoming season, retaining one of its most experienced backcourt players.

Wilbekin, 32, joined Fenerbahce in the summer of 2022 and made an immediate impact across two EuroLeague seasons. In 2022–23, he averaged 11.1 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. His production increased in 2023–24 to 13.0 points and 3.3 assists across 41 contests.

However, his 2024–25 campaign was derailed before it truly began. Wilbekin suffered a full ACL tear in his right knee during Fenerbahce’s EuroLeague season opener against Olympiacos, ending his season in October.

Despite the season-ending injury, the club reaffirmed its confidence in the experienced playmaker by securing his services through a contract that includes a team option for the second year.

Wilbekin brings a wealth of EuroLeague experience, having also suited up for Darussafaka and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Over 241 career EuroLeague games, he has averaged 13.2 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.2 steals while maintaining an 85.2% free-throw percentage.

Fenerbahce finished second in the 2024–25 EuroLeague regular season with a 23–11 record, behind only Olympiacos. The Turkish powerhouse went on to win the EuroLeague championship.
