Telekom Baskets take lead in the finals

ImageThe German final series kicked off just as exciting as the semifinals ended: Telekom Baskets Bonn takes yet another away win, this time against EWE Baskets Oldenburg. The home team had their homecourt advantage taken away by Bonn just as in the semis against Alba.

The game was balanced in the beginning with no team being able to take significant leads in the 1st quarter enter the next period in a tie 16-16. It was in the 2nd quarter where Oldenburg managed to take a serious lead and at halftime the score was 39-31. Yet this ambitious Bonn team would not give up and fought a comeback in the 3rd quarter not just to come close, but even take the lead in the game. The 2 teams entered the last quarter with Bonn leading by 4. A lead that they managed to keep till the end to win the game 72-74.

For the hosts Je'kel Foster had 17, Ruben Boumtje Boumtje 14 (and 15 rebounds!), and Majstorovic, Paulding 12 each
 
Bowman added another great performance for Telekom Baskets with 26 points and 7 rebounds and an index of 30. Rowland and Johnson had 10 each.
