ALBA Berlin stood tall in the final minutes of the game and beat Bayern Munich (70-78) to advance to the semi-finals of the German Cup.

It was a close game for three quarters (24-21, 41-40, 55-61), with the hosts taking an one-point lead (70-69).

The visitors reacted, though, and closed the game on a 9-0 run to seal the deal (70-78).

Jonas Mattisseck scored 15 points for the winners, with Stefan Peno adding 13.

Derrick Williams had 15 and Petteri Koponen 13 points for the losing squad.
