FC Barcelona suffered its first defeat in the EuroLeague this season and its winning streak came to an end in six games.

At Tel-Aviv, Maccabi was unstoppable from the opening tip and cruised to an easy win at home (85-68). The Israelis led by 20 at halftime (56-36) and never looked back, securing another big victory.

FC Barcelona remained on top of the standings, at 6-1. Meanwhile, Maccabi is one win behind, with a 5-2 record.

Olympiacos survived a late thriller vs fellow EuroLeague powerhouse Fenerbahce (67-65) and remained unbeaten at home (5-0). The “Reds” used a 15-2 run late in the second quarter and took control (42-29).

However, the Turks turned things around and led by three midway through the fourth quarter (59-62). Kostas Sloukas sealed the deal for the hosts, though, with the game-winning two-pointer with two seconds to go. In the final possession, Marko Guduric missed the three-pointer at the buzzer and the Turks have now lost three straight.

Olympiacos maintained a top four push and improved at 5-2. On the other hand, Fenerbahce dropped to 2-5 on the table.

In the German derby, Bayern Munich rallied past ALBA Berlin and maintained its momentum. The Bavarians closed the game on a 7-18 run and claimed a big road win (69-82).

This was the third straight victory for Bayern, which climbed to 3-4 in the standings. On the contrary, ALBA remained close to the bottom, at 2-5.

Armani Milano returned to the top of the table, after its 79-62 triumph over Crvena Zvezda at Mediolanum Forum. The Italians tipped off the game on a 13-0 run and led by 20 in the first quarter. The Serbians never came back and suffered a heavy loss.

The hosts improved to 6-1, tied with FC Barcelona for first on the table. For their part, Zvezda are at 2-5, having lost three straight.
