Real Madrid outscored Barcelona 54-28 in the second and the fourth quarter and crushed the Catalans in the Spanish derby (92-65).

The “Whites” took control from the opening tip (22-17) and went on a 31-13 run in the second quarter to end the first half in front by 23 (53-30) and never look back.

Even though the “Blaugrana” attempted to react, the defending champions comfortably retained their lead (69-50, 92-65) and triumphed over their arch-rivals.

Trey Thompkins and Anthony Randolph led the winners, with 17 and 16 points, respectively, as Jaycee Carroll and Walter Tavares added 15 and 12.

On the other hand, only Thomas Heurtel (16 points) and Kevin Pangos (11 points) scored in double figures for the losing squad, which suffered a heavy defeat.

Real Madrid were victorious for the 10th time this season (10-2), whereas Barcelona lost for the sixth time (6-6).
