Thanks to a pair of free throws by Will Clyburn, CSKA Moscow stood tall and defeated Zalgiris Kaunas at home in an overtime thriller (99-97).

Although the Lithuanians had control of the game from the opening tip and were in front by nine, with three minutes to go (71-80), the Muscovites went on a 15-6 run and tied the game, thanks to a three-pointer by Sergio Rodriguez, to force an overtime (86-86).

In the extra period, things didn’t change much (97-97), but two free throws by Clyburn were enough to give the win to the “Bear”.

Rodriguez (24 points, 6/10 from beyond the arc, six assists), Cory Higgins (23 points) and Clyburn (15 points, 13 rebounds) were the best players for the winners.

On the other hand, five players scored in double figures for the losing squad, as Antanas Kavaliauskas had 19 points and eight boards and Nate Wolters posted 14 points and nine assists.

CSKA Moscow maintained its perfect record (8-0), whereas Zalgiris Kaunas lost for the fifth time in the season (3-5).
