Following AEK Athens victory over Lietkabelis at home (65-59), TalkBasket.net spoke with Vince Hunter about the game.
The American center of the defending champions once again made an excellent performance (28 points, 8/11 shooting, nine rebounds) and led his team to another victory.
Here is what he said:
On his team claiming another win in the BCL: “It was a hard-fought game. We had some injuries, but we shouldn’t let it stop us. We had to perform and that’s exactly what we did.”
On what was the key to the victory: “Definitely defence. We had to rely on it and we did a good job, as they scored just eight points in the fourth quarter. Defence gave us the win.”
On his individual performance: “I am playing really good right now, with confidence. My team is looking for me a lot, they are making good plays for me.”
