LeBron James made one free throw, with two seconds to go, and the LA Lakers edged the Dallas Mavericks at home (114-113).

Luka Doncic had tied the game, with eight seconds remaining (113-113), but the “King” made one free throw and gave his team the victory, as JJ Barea missed the three-pointer at the buzzer.

James had a game-high 29 points, along with five rebounds and six assists, as four more players scored in double figures for the winners.

On the other hand, Wesley Matthews posted a team-high 21 points, with Barea adding a double-double (15 points, 10 assists). Doncic contributed 14 points, five boards and seven assists for the losing squad.

The Lakers made an excellent start to the game and took a 17-point lead (38-21). The Mavs came back, though, and cut the deficit to 10 at halftime (66-59).

The hosts managed to bring their lead back to double digits at the end of the third quarter (94-81). Yet, the visitors turned things around again, outscored their opponents 32-20 and came very close to the win.

But, Barea missed the three-pointer and, consequently, Dallas suffered their sixth loss in eight games (2-6).

For LA, this was their third win in eight games (3-5).
