A 22-year-old the New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor injured right ankle during his debut in the new team. The Pelicans loss to the Chicago Bulls (116:128). Okafor turned the ankle almost at the end of the game when he was running with the ball and tried to change direction. Before getting injury Okafor showed the solid numbers – playing 17 minutes he scored 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. After the game he left the United Center with crutches.

This summer Jahlil Okafor signed a two-year, partially guaranteed contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. Okafor was selected with the third overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2015 NBA Draft. Playing his first season with the Sixers he demonstrated his best NBA career numbers – 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. During later seasons Okafor’s productivity plummeted and he was finally dropped out from the Sixers rotation.
