Khimki signed Serbian center Ratko Varda who should help cover the absence of Maciej Lampe. Experienced center started the season with Zalgiris but was forced to leave the team because of the financial problems.
Varda only appeared on the court in two Euroleague games for Zalgiris and that was the time when he was recovering from a shoulder injury. His stats weren't impressive as he had 2.5 points per game.
He was more successful in Lithuanian league. Varda played three games in LKL averaging 19 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Khimki will face Maroussi in Eurocup Last 16 on January 27.
