Per Tim MacMahon of the ESPN, Luka Doncic will play as power forward in the Dallas Mavericks’ starting lineup.

Coach Rick Carlisle is planning to have Dennis Smith and Wesley Matthews in the backcourt line and Harrison Barnes as the small forward.

At the same time, DeAndre Jordan will be the starting center, so the 2018 EuroLeague and ACB MVP will play as power forward.

Doncic had rarely played in the same position in Real Madrid, as he used to play either as a point guard or shooting guard.

Doncic will replace Dirk Nowitzki in the starting lineup. Per coach Carlisle, the legendary German power forward/center will likely come off the bench this season.
