The head coach of Georgia, Ilias Zouros, announced today the 12 players that will compete against Israel (September 13) and Greece (September 16) in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Tornike Shengelia and his team-mate in Baskonia, Matt Janning, are expected to take over, as Georgia have to win both matches, if they want to turn things around and qualify to the World Cup.
The squad is now fifth in the group (2-4 record), along with Estonia (2-4). Germany and Greece are undefeated (6-0), with Serbia third (4-2) and Israel fourth (3-3).
