Rudy Gay, who re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs a few weeks ago, talked about the trade between his team and the Toronto Raptors, including DeMar DeRozan and Kawhi Leonard.

“The best part about San Antonio, they do right by you. They do right by their players, do right by their staff. This doesn’t happen very often in the NBA. To be honest, it doesn’t happen at all,” said the 32-year-old forward.

“On one side of the situation, there was one guy (Kawhi Leonard) that was trying to get out, get to a bigger market, and they were totally being up front with him. And then they trade him for a guy (DeRozan), where that organisation wasn’t being up front with him at all.

So I mean, it’s just night and day. That trade right there shows you the difference between the San Antonio Spurs and other organisations,” Gay added.
