Mario Hezonja confirmed via his Twitter account that he will leave the Orlando Magic and will join the New York Knicks.
According to the ESPN, the Croatian forward is expected to sign an one-year $6.5M contract with the Knicks.
Portland Trail Blazers, the Sacramento Kings and the Memphis Grizzles had also made their offers, but Hezonja decided to join the Knicks, due to the presence of Davis Fizdale in the squad’s bench.
The 23-year-old player averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game last season.
