CSKA Moscow head coach, Dimitris Itoudis, talked to TalkBasket.net about Friday’s semi-final against Real Madrid and the playing condition of Kyle Hines, Nando De Colo and Leo Westermann.
On the semi-final: “Real Madrid are a tough opponent, they play great basketball, they have a very deep roster and are healthy and in great shape. They have been prepared very well. It will be a difficult game, as always in the Final Four.”
On the team’s preparation: “For sure, we are ready both physically and mentally. When you play in the Final Four, you have to be well prepared.”
On De Colo’s and Hines’ injuries: This was one of the problems we faced during the playoffs. They have both returned to action, they played against Parma in the VTB League. They are here with us and they will play tomorrow.”
On Westermann’s injury: “We feel sorry for Leo, he had to deal with two injuries during the season. He had played in 170 straight games in the past two years, but he suffered two unfortunate injuries this season. He underwent successful surgery, though, and we hope he will be back with us soon.”
