Panathinaikos point guard Nick Calathes has reportedly declared an interest in returning to the NBA.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Calathes, who averaged 18.5 points and 8.0 assists for Panathinaikos this season seems ready for his comeback.

The 29-year-old has even hired James Dunleavy of ISE to serve as his agent, also according to the ESPN report.

Calathes was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2009, whereby his rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

He moved to Europe where he found a home with Panathinaikos and later on with Lokomotiv Kuban before eventually heading to the NBA and joining the Grizzlies in 2013 following a trade by the Mavs.

He left the NBA in 2015 and signed a three-year contract with Panathinaikos.

If Calathes does indeed return to the NBA, he would still have to serve 13 more games of a 20-game suspension that he was handed in 2014 for violating the league’s anti-drug policy.
