CSKA Moscow continue to stand on top of the EuroLeague standings, while Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv impressed and Zalgiris recorded a record win on the road.
The Muscovites started slow, but eventually recorded a convincing 94-67 win over Valencia. CSKA led 43-38 at the half but that then ballooned to 73-54 after three quarters, leading to a routine victory.
Nando De Colo was the obvious standout with 23 points for CSKA.
Zalgiris broke a club-record as they hammered Olimpia Milano 94-62 with the winning margin of 32 points being their biggest ever road win.
The Kaunas outfit took the lead for good with a 9-0 run to close the first quarter and extended it to more than 20 points with a 16-0 run in the second, before sealing things with a 17-2 run that ended the third quarter.
Paulius Jankunas led Zalgiris with 13 points, which moved him past reigning EuroLeague MVP Sergio Llull and into the sixth place on the all-time scoring list with 2,539 points.
DeShaun Thomas was a standout as the rejuvinated Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv beat Real Madrid 90-83.
Thomas led Maccabi with 21 points as they improve to 4-2 in the EuroLeague standings, while dropping the Liga Endesa side to the same mark. Luka Doncic was Real’s only real go-to guy with 19 points and six assists.
Anadolu Efes registered its first win of the EuroLeague season by topping Barcelona 89-85 with Vladimir Stimac leading the winners with 22 points.
The win improves Anadolu Efes to 1-5 in the standings.
