Adidas have officially overtaken Jordan as the second biggest in the U.S. sneaker market, something that most felt would never happen in a lifetime.
But when you have Kanye West on board, changes like this are possible.
Nike remains number one on the market. But despite DJ Khaled’s recent collaboration with Jordan, it’s had little effect on the power that Adidas, led by the Yeezy has had. And there will be more.
The news comes from Matt Powell of the NPD Group, who posted a series of tweets on recent industry sales figures on Monday.
Adidas has overtaken Jordan as the #2 brand in U.S. sport footwear. This is an achievement I never thought I would see in my lifetime.

Via Sole Collector:
Adidas’ current share of the U.S. sneaker market sits at 13 percent, according to numbers from the NPD Group, a market research company that tracks, among other things, sales at sneaker stores.
Powell’s sales reports have models like the Adidas Tubular Shadow and Superstar as some of the top-selling sneakers in August.
