Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv strengthened its backcourt by inking shooting guard Michael Roll, who signed a one-year deal with the Israeli powerhouse with an option for another season.
Roll (1.97 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Besiktas Istanbul, where he averaged 11.2 points on 88.9% free throws shooting and 4.6 assists in 40 Turkish League games last season, helping his team reach the finals. He started his career with Bornova Bld of Turkey and also played for Antwerp Giants of Belgium, CAI Zaragoza and Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz of Spain, as well as for two more Turkish teams, Turk Telekom Ankara and Tuyap Buyukcekmece Basketbol.
Roll is also a member of the Tunisian national team. He is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Maccabi next season.
