Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Efes Pilsen are showing interest in securing the services of Unicaja’s point guard Omar Cook for the next season. The €750.000-a-year contract of the American guard runs out in June.

His current club is not willing to use the option in the contract and offer an extension to Cook. As a result of that some of the top teams in Europe are already planning to make a bid for the player when the summer comes.

Unicaja is struggling this season in both Euroleague and Spanish league but the poor results of the team didn’t have a negative affect on Omar Cook’s stats. 1.86 m point guard has actually improved his stats compared to last season. He’s averaging 9.7 points and 5.9 assists per game in Euroleague this season.
