Champions given a fright in Istanbul, EuroLeague Tuesday round up

CSKA Moscow remained unbeaten in the EuroLeague by beating Anadolu Efes 93-87 but were pushed to the limit in their second visit to Istanbul.

Up twelve at the half, the reigning EuroLeague champions looked comfortable heading into the secondary half of play, but Anadolu Efes fought back to make the game interesting but the Muscovites held on for a second win in Turkey, en route to a 3-0 mark, while Anadolu remain winless.

Current EuroLeague MVP Nando De Colo led all scorers for CSKA with 26 points with Milos Teodosic adding 15 points and eight assists.

DeShaun Thomas led Anadolu Efes with 16.

Olympiacos ended EA7 Milano’s unbeaten start to the EuroLeague campaign with a 91-81 win in Piraeus.

After racing to an early 13-4 lead, Olympiacos were rarely challenged by a Milano side that were outplayed throughout.

Baskonia needed a clutch three-pointer from Jaka Blazic to secure an impressive 91-87 road win against Real Madrid, who tasted defeat for the first time this season.

Blazic hit the dagger three with 10 seconds left as the Slovenian led the winners with 21 points.

Both teams own 2-1 records.
