Olympiacos drew first blood in the battle of the Greek League’s top two sides as they beat Panathinaikos 88-63 in Piraeus.

Giorgos Printezis paced Olympiacos with 18 points, Matt Lojeski added 15 points and Erick Green amassed 14.

Ioannis Bourousis led Panathinaikos with 12 points.

Leading 23-17 after the first quarter, Olympiacos further asserted their dominance in the second as they got their first double-digit lead at 32-22 and it further grew as the period progressed as the Reds took a comfortable 50-32 cushion at the half.

Olympiacos’ reign of terror didn’t end there, as they snuffed out any decent spells that Panathinaikos were able to make, as they stretched heir lead eventually to twenty points late in the fourth and secured a priceless win.
