Liga Endesa round up 2016-17 (week 5)

Real Madrid remain the only unbeaten in the Liga Endesa after week five saw Bilbao and Tenerife lose their unblemished starts and Gran Canaria emphatically got their first win of the campaign.

The reigning Liga Endesa champions were tested against neighbours Estudiantes but 23 points from Jaycee Carroll as well as a potential dunk of the season by Anthony Randolph secured a 96-88 victory.

Andorra and Unicaja Malaga inflicted first league defeats of the season to Bilbao and Tenerife, respectively.

Beka Burjanadze led the way with 16 points for Andorra in a narrow 85-81 win over Bilbao while Unicaja Malaga needed a dagger three-pointer from Alberto Diaz with 34 seconds left to secure a 73-72 win in Tenerife to improve to 3-2.

Gran Canaria destroyed Fuenlabrada 111-60 to claim their first win of the season after four straight losses. And Barcelona were equally as comfortable against Real Betis, winning 80-58.
