Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv forward Sonny Weems will return to action tonight in the Israeli League and has revealed that he will be 100 percent for Thursday’s EuroLeague encounter against Real Madrid.

The 30-year-old Weems tore his hamstring, playing in a pre-season fixture against fellow EuroLeague side Darussafaka Dogus.

He was expected to be out for up to a month, but the American, who signed for Maccabi from the Phoenix Suns in the summer is back quicker than the team expected.

“I feel great,” Weems said after his first practice since the injury. “I hope to play on Monday and be ready to play a full game against Real Madrid on Thursday. I am ready.”

Weems returns to action tonight in the Winner League against Hapoel Eliat.
