Donatas Motiejunas is nearing a move to PAOK Thessaloniki, with the Lithuanian center expected to sign a guaranteed contract through the end of the 2026-27 season, according to BasketNews sources.
The 36-year-old spent last season with Crvena Zvezda after beginning the campaign under contract with AS Monaco.
He moved to the Serbian club on loan in early October, initially joining on a three-month agreement as Crvena Zvezda dealt with several injuries.
Motiejunas ultimately remained in Belgrade for the rest of the season after the clubs reached another agreement in December.
He averaged 6.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 12.6 minutes over 27 EuroLeague appearances.
He also contributed 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 18 ABA League games. Motiejunas brings extensive experience from both the NBA and EuroLeague.
The former 20th overall NBA Draft pick played six seasons with the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs, averaging 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds across 251 regular-season games.
After his NBA career, Motiejunas played in China before returning to Europe with Monaco in 2021. He spent four seasons with the French club before joining Crvena Zvezda last year.
