The NBA has expanded its investigation into Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers, with league investigators now examining additional issues beyond a possible salary cap circumvention involving Aspiration.

According to reports, the investigation also includes whether the Clippers improperly covered expenses for Leonard and a previously undisclosed endorsement deal with another company.

Leonard’s agreed-upon trade to the Toronto Raptors remains on hold until the NBA completes its investigation.

The Clippers and owner Steve Ballmer have denied any wrongdoing.

“We don’t think that there’s a ‘there’ there,” National Basketball Players Association executive director David Kelly said. “It should not take this long in order for something to get wrapped up.”

Leonard and his uncle, Dennis Robertson, have both been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
