
Virtus Bologna has officially announced the signing of forward Kessler Edwards, adding the former Hapoel Tel Aviv and NBA player to its roster on a multi-year contract ahead of the new season.
Per the press release: Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached a multi-year agreement with Kessler Edwards.
The 6-foot-10 forward was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft and went on to spend time with Brooklyn, Sacramento, and Dallas before moving to Europe.
Edwards joined Hapoel Tel Aviv in February of last season, where he continued his professional career before earning a move to the Italian powerhouse.
Known for his versatility on both ends of the floor, Edwards has built a reputation as a strong defender and reliable rebounder.
Throughout his professional career, he has averaged 6.3 defensive rebounds per game, making him a valuable addition to Virtus Bologna’s frontcourt.
