After the expiration of Moses Brown’s 10-day contract, the Dallas Mavericks are unable to fill the 15th spot on their roster due to their hard cap restrictions, which prevent them from making moves until April 10.

One option the Mavericks are considering is promoting two-way player Kessler Edwards, who has been playing a regular role in the rotation recently.

However, Edwards can only be active for 10 more NBA games, which limits his availability for the remainder of the season.

According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, the team’s decision on whether to promote Edwards or explore other options will largely depend on the state of the Mavericks’ health and roster needs when the hard cap restrictions are lifted on April 10.

While the Mavericks are currently facing a significant shortage in their frontcourt due to injuries, this situation may change in the coming weeks, making it uncertain whether Edwards’ promotion will still be necessary by then.
