Kessler Edwards and Hapoel Tel Aviv have officially gone their separate ways, with the Israeli club announcing the move on social media.
Edwards joined the team in February after signing a contract for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old forward, who will celebrate his 26th birthday in August, entered the NBA as the 44th overall pick in the 2021 draft.
Over four seasons in the league, he appeared for multiple teams, most recently the Mavericks during the 2024/25 campaign.
Before the start of the current season, Edwards signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with the Nuggets, but spent much of the year with Denver’s G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold, before continuing his career overseas with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Edwards was productive in the G League, averaging 14.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks across 30 appearances while shooting .500 from the field, .403 from three-point range and .781 from the free-throw line in 33.6 minutes per game.
His role was significantly smaller after arriving in Israel.
Edwards appeared in nine EuroLeague games for Hapoel Tel Aviv, posting averages of 3.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per contest.
