The Hornets are moving on from forward Tosan Evbuomwan, according to Marc Stein, creating an opening on one of their two-way contract spots ahead of the new league year.

Evbuomwan spent parts of last season with both the Knicks and Hornets after beginning the year on a two-way deal in New York before joining Charlotte in February.

Although he saw very little NBA action, he played an important role at the G League level.

The 25-year-old was a key contributor for the Greensboro Swarm during their championship run and earned G League Finals MVP honors after a standout performance in the title-clinching game.

Charlotte’s decision clears a two-way roster slot as the organization continues reshaping the end of its roster.

The Hornets already have PJ Hall under a two-way contract and reportedly reached an agreement with undrafted rookie Michael Ajayi for another two-way deal.
