Former NBA star John Wall believes he would have been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the modern NIL era had those opportunities existed during his college career.

Speaking about the current landscape of name, image, and likeness deals in college athletics, Wall suggested that his popularity, personality, and marketability would have made him one of the highest-paid players in the country.

“I had a dance. I had a song. I was marketable. Handsome.”

Wall averaged 16.6 points, 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game during the 2009-10 season while leading Kentucky to a 35-3 record and an Elite Eight appearance.

His standout freshman campaign ultimately helped make him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
