The Miami Heat remain one of the teams most heavily linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo, and according to The Athletic, a potential trade package could hinge on which young prospect the organization is willing to part with.

League sources indicate that either Pelle Larsson or Kasparas Jakucionis is expected to be included in any serious offer for the two-time MVP.

Miami has reportedly shown strong interest in Antetokounmpo for quite some time and was aggressive in its efforts to acquire him before last season’s trade deadline.

“The Heat were aggressive in trying to land Antetokounmpo at the February trade deadline, when league sources say they thought a deal would get done before the Bucks ultimately backed away.”

Although a trade never materialized at that time, Miami’s interest is believed to remain strong.

With the possibility of Antetokounmpo becoming available again, the Heat are expected to re-enter discussions with a substantial package built around both established contributors and young assets.

“This time around, with league sources indicating that the package is likely to include Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., either Pelle Larsson or Kasparas Jakucionis and draft capital (they can offer up to three first round picks), Miami is still widely seen as the frontrunner in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes.”
