Mathias Lessort criticizes officiating in Finals

Mathias Lessort voiced frustration with the officiating in the Greek League Finals, suggesting that the whistle has not been applied equally between the two teams.

The Panathinaikos B.C. center indicated that he hopes the remainder of the series will be decided by basketball rather than inconsistent officiating standards.

“I hope we’ll be allowed to play basketball,” Lessort said.

He also called for equal treatment from officials, arguing that both teams should be judged under the same criteria throughout the Finals.

“Being treated in the same way the other team is being treated. Have the same calls and non-calls that they get.”
