The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Orlando Magic on Saturday, March 21, at Kia Center as both teams manage injuries entering an interconference matchup late in the regular season.

Los Angeles enters the game with a 45-25 record, placing third in the Western Conference and continuing a strong stretch that has solidified its postseason position.

The Lakers have won eight straight games and nine of their last 10. Their most recent victories came against the Miami Heat (134-126) on March 19 and the Houston Rockets (124-116) on March 18.

Austin Reaves headlines the Lakers’ injury report and is listed as questionable due to left hip soreness. Reaves has averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 44 games while shooting 49.4% from the field.

Maxi Kleber is ruled out with a lumbar back strain. Kleber has appeared in 35 games this season and has provided depth in the frontcourt rotation.

If Reaves is limited or unavailable, Los Angeles will rely heavily on Luka Doncic, who leads the team with 33.4 points and 8.4 assists per game while averaging nearly 36 minutes.

LeBron James continues to play a major role in the Lakers’ offense at age 41. He is averaging 21.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 51.6% from the field.

The Lakers also receive steady production from Deandre Ayton, who is averaging 12.4 points and 8.2 rebounds while shooting 66.9% from the field.

Orlando enters Saturday’s game with a 38-31 record, placing sixth in the Eastern Conference and holding a playoff position entering the final weeks of the season.

The Magic are coming off two consecutive losses, falling to the Charlotte Hornets 130-111 on March 19 and the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-108 on March 17.

Orlando’s injury report is longer and includes several rotation players. Franz Wagner is out with a left high ankle sprain after averaging 21.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 28 games this season.

Anthony Black is also unavailable due to a left lateral abdominal strain. Black has averaged 15.3 points and 3.8 assists in 60 games while playing more than 30 minutes per game.

Wendell Carter Jr. is listed as questionable with a mild left rib contusion. Carter has averaged 11.7 points and 7.5 rebounds in 65 games this season.

Jonathan Isaac will miss the game with a left knee sprain, further affecting Orlando’s frontcourt depth.

Additional absences include two-way players Colin Castleton and Alex Morales, who are both on G League assignments.

With Wagner sidelined, Orlando will rely more heavily on Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane for scoring. Banchero is averaging 22.3 points and 8.5 rebounds, while Bane is contributing 20.6 points per game while shooting 39.4% from three-point range.

The teams have already played once this season, when Orlando secured a 110-109 road victory on Feb. 24.
